NEW PLANS FROM VERIZON:

Verizon has now established a small plan for the emergency user.  Cost is $19.99 per month for 60 minutes of use per month with all of North Dakota toll free and roam free.   All of North Dakota including the Red River Valley is now considered your Home Area.  In addition to the standard Call Forward, Call Waiting, and 3-way Calling, you get FREE Voice Mail with this plan.  Any minutes used over your 60 minutes per month are billed at 30 cents a minute.  There are additional levels of this plan all the way up to 2000 minutes per month for $199.00.

The Gold Plan is still in effect; however, at this time, the bonus minutes become permanent minutes and will not be taken away in one year as initially indicated.   Price is still $39.99 per month for 600 weekday minutes and 2000 weekend minutes per month, all nationwide toll-free.  Roaming charges and some long distance charges will still apply depending upon your location at the time of your calls.

VERIZON has sent letters of notification to each subscriber that effective June 16th, 2001, the billing will change.  NOTE: ONLY the APPEARANCE of the bill will change unless you have 4 phones on a family plan.  Your bill will indicate a change of billing date from the 4th of the month to the 3rd of the month.  The 4th was the FIRST day of the billing period, now they indicate the 3rd as the LAST day of the billing period.   Nothing has changed!  In your letter, there are no bonus minutes posted, HOWEVER, you have not lost your bonus minutes...they are still the same.  Users who have 4 phones on an old family plan will have them split into two groups of two for accounting purposes only.  No cost increase, no minutes decrease, no lost features.   If you have questions, call 1-800-266-6638.

       FA-1:  Minimum of 2 phones, maximum of 4.  Two phones share 300 minutes plus have an              additional 300 minutes per phone of phone-to-phone time (within the group).  Cost is
        $50.00 per month. Free nationwide long distance from any of the former CommNet towers           to anywhere in the continental US.
The 3rd & 4th phones can be added with an additional $20.00 each per month and will share in the 300 anytime minutes.  North Dakota toll-free is once again standard on this plan. $25.00 Activation fee applies to each phone activated.  3RD & 4TH PHONES WILL BE ON A SEPERATE ACCOUNT.
